Welcome to the

Newark Valley Chamber of Commerce

About Our Town....

Newark Valley started out as the Town of Westville, which was organized on April 12, 1823, from the southern part of the original Town of Berkshire.  The name changed to Newark on March 24, 1824, and to it's present name on April 17, 1862.

The Town of Newark Valley is mostly rural, with rolling, forested hills and broad valleys.  Newark Valley residents enjoy a quality of life difficult to match.

Although Newark Valley is primarily a "bedroom" community, there is some local industry.  The largest employer is the Newark Valley Central School system, which serves the Towns of Newark Valley, Berkshire, and Richford as well as parts of the Towns of Candor and Owego.

The Newark Valley Chamber of Commerce... serving Northern Tioga County invites you to come visit and find out what we have to offer!
